TBC—Created by Mitch Hudson, an assistant director of The Chosen, a new series titles The Promised Land (TPL) debuted its pilot episode on July 1st, 2024. The launch was preceded by a social media campaign which reached millions.
TPL claims to be a comedy series that offers the story of Exodus through a new lens to give an inside take on how Moses and his family really felt about their journey across the desert.
"I want[ed] to make this other TV show...we're not as big as [The Chosen] but we have the same heart. We want to make the Bible feel real for people who have an easier time connecting with something visually as opposed to through reading."
Do we need someone to "make the Bible feel real" to us through video?
